History and Foundation
Below, you will find the main events that have shaped the association into what it is today. A more detailed journey can be found on our social media, where we share event reports, aid delivery reports, significant association events, and other activities.
Let’s go back to February 24, 2022. The day Russia began a new phase of its bloody war against Ukraine. At that time, one of the association’s founders, Serhii, had just finished his studies in Lyon a few months prior and began helping to find and purchase various necessary technological materials, such as communication equipment, additional power supplies, etc. He also actively participated in coordinating the private IT community (about a thousand people), which initially formed to fight in the information domain.
During this period, Diana and Iryna, the co-founders, settled in Lyon and began to mobilize. On May 17, 2022, Diana organized an event dedicated to Russia’s terrorist attack, which destroyed a theater in Mariupol where hundreds of people were hiding. On June 24, 2022, Iryna organized a large charitable gastronomic event to purchase medical equipment for a children’s hospital in Kyiv. This event brought together many people around a common goal and helped support Ukraine. Mila, a co-founder, also joined the event and took charge of managing the media for the future association.
After a series of events in September, it was decided to create the association, and in early November, the association officially began its activities. We are grateful to all those who have contributed and continue to develop this very important cause!
